I do care, I do!

Sun May 14, 2006, 11:03 AM
I've been meaning to say this for a while now.

At the time of writing, I have 4732 pieces favourited and am watching 321 people.

I just want to make one thing clear:

If I've favourited a piece, it probably stopped me in my tracks. I usually have an audible reaction to each piece I add to my favourites; most likely I e-mailed the link to other people or showed it to whoever was in the room. If it was truly jaw-dropping (and it seems that most of the work I look at is), I probably bookmarked it or kept the page open for days at a time. What I want everyone to understand is that I don't look at things for two seconds before adding them to my favourites; I care about each and every deviation I :+fav:.

And let me put it this way: I currently have 4129 deviations from my watchlist to look at, and that number tends to remain more or less the same at all times. If I really did :+fav: each and every one of them, the website's server would probably explode. ;)

As for commenting, I've left 866 of them. A far cry from 4732, but if I commented on every piece I saw, I wouldn't get anything done. :) More to the point, I'm usually reluctant to comment simply because I don't have anything new to add; I always do a quick read-through of all the comments (well, unless it's one of those 43782-comment pieces), and usually the suggestions I had in mind are already mentioned by someone else. If I don't have any suggestions, then I just hate to bother you by simply saying, "WOW!!!!!11" like the 500 other people there. :D

Anyway, I just didn't want anyone thinking I don't take art seriously, even though it may seem that way sometimes. I'm not sure how many people will actually read this, but thank you to those who do. :D You all astound me and I can't wait to see what you'll do next.

Cheers!
Caitlin.
